Choosing tyres for your electric vehicle
An EV does not automatically need a tyre labelled “EV”. Start with the vehicle manufacturer’s requirements, tyre size, load index, speed rating and intended use. A catalogue listing alone does not confirm compatibility with your vehicle.
Compare the specifications, not just the EV label
Check the vehicle handbook and tyre placard, including any required tyre type or fitment specification. Noise, rolling resistance, comfort and wear vary by tyre and use. Compare information for the exact product; an EV label does not guarantee quieter driving, longer tyre life or increased range.
